Critical Facilities Engineer I

Maintain the electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems supporting Flexential's Hillsboro data center.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment rounds, and alarm response.
• Support power provisioning, commissioning, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Read technical plans and operating procedures, document work, and maintain safe change windows.
• Work with technical support teams to meet customer service commitments and a 99.999% uptime target.

Work arrangement

Onsite with facility on-call responsibilities, occasional maintenance outside normal hours and on weekends, and approximately 5% travel.

Compensation and benefits

Estimated base pay: $31 to $33 hourly. Benefits include health coverage, retirement savings, paid leave, disability insurance, and employee wellness support.

• At least one year of data center, critical infrastructure, and troubleshooting experience; building automation familiarity.
• Understanding of generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, power distribution, chillers, pumps, and air handling equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work safely around electrical and mechanical hazards.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Relevant trade or military experience; electrical or mechanical credentials are preferred.
• Legal US work authorization.
