Data Center Critical Facilities Lead

Provide advanced technical leadership for Equinix's critical infrastructure operations in Secaucus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex maintenance, repairs, installations, and infrastructure replacement projects.
• Resolve BMS alarms, assess operating risks, and improve procedures and energy efficiency.
• Direct service vendors, review maintenance scripts, and maintain technical records.
• Support major incidents, investigate failures, and mentor technicians.
• Plan critical spares and recommend improvements to reliability and capacity.

Work arrangement

Full-time and onsite in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Compensation and benefits

Annual base pay: $88,000 to $132,000, with bonus eligibility. Equity depends on the position. Benefits include insurance, retirement contributions, paid leave, holidays, and employee assistance.

• High school diploma or equivalent and typically six or more years in critical facilities, data center operations, or comparable technical environments.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution, generators, UPS, HVAC, chillers, and life-safety systems.
• Strong BMS troubleshooting and preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance skills.
• Ability to identify single points of failure and work independently.
• Technical qualifications, an associate degree, or military technical training are advantageous.
