Data Center Critical Facilities Technician

Maintain the infrastructure supporting Equinix's Torrance data center and help keep customer services available.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Monitor BMS alarms and maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate service providers, approve maintenance work, and update equipment documentation.
• Respond to incidents, investigate root causes and single points of failure, and support equipment replacements.
• Mentor colleagues and communicate critical parts requirements.

Work arrangement

Full-time and onsite in Torrance, California.

Compensation and benefits

Annual base pay: $77,000 to $115,600. Employees are eligible for bonuses; equity depends on the position. Benefits include health, life and disability insurance, retirement contributions, paid time off, holidays, and employee assistance.

• High school diploma and demonstrated relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise skilled judgment while following operating procedures.
• Capability to troubleshoot facility systems, coordinate vendors, and support incident resolution.
• Clear communication, accurate maintenance records, and effective teamwork.
