Data Center Customer Operations Technician

Deliver complex customer installations and connectivity services at Equinix's Culpeper data center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer requests, installation plans, permits, work queues, and operating reports.
• Lead rack, cabinet, cage, cable distribution, and cross-connect installation work.
• Perform advanced fault isolation, terminations, testing, and connectivity changes.
• Support customer escalations, vendor coordination, audits, and asset records.
• Coach colleagues on operating practices, safety, and customer communication.

Work arrangement

Full-time and onsite in Culpeper, Virginia.

Compensation and benefits

Annual base pay: $59,000 to $88,400. Bonus eligibility applies; equity may be offered. Benefits include insurance, retirement contributions, paid leave, holidays, and employee assistance.

• Typically a high school diploma and demonstrated equivalent work experience.
• Strong customer installation, cross-connect, and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
• Independent judgment on complex technical assignments and a thorough understanding of operating procedures.
• Ability to plan installation projects, maintain accurate reports, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Clear communication, customer service, and mentoring skills.
