Data Center Facilities Technician, Electrical

Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair the electrical infrastructure supporting Google’s New Albany data center. The facilities technician manages the uptime of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, power distribution, and controls while responding to abnormal conditions and supporting other technicians with schematics and operating sequences. The position also supports equipment startup, commissioning, and integration while maintaining safety, environmental, and operational standards.

• Associate degree, trade-school certification, related technical training, or equivalent experience • 5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience • Experience with electrical infrastructure, maintenance, and monitoring systems • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use required OSHA safety equipment • Availability for non-standard hours and rotating shifts • Data center, hospital, power plant, UPS, generator, switchgear, ATS/STS, or PDU experience is preferred
