Data Center Mechanical Engineer

Support the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of Google data centers in Iowa and Nebraska. The mechanical engineer reviews designs for constructability, compliance with Google standards, and value engineering, then provides on-site technical support to construction teams and contractors. This role serves as a mechanical-systems subject matter expert, helps commission systems against performance requirements, and partners with operations teams from construction through post-occupancy.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience • 10 years of experience in facility design, construction environments, and mechanical infrastructure • Ability to review mechanical designs at multiple project stages • Experience supporting construction teams, contractors, and system commissioning • Five years of data center operations experience is preferred • Master’s degree, relevant business degree, or Professional Engineer license is preferred
