Data Center Operations Technician

Deploy and operate the physical infrastructure behind Google’s services at the Fort Wayne data center. The technician installs, configures, tests, and maintains servers, Linux-based systems, racks, and networking components while following established procedures to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. The work also includes preventive maintenance, end-of-life hardware disassembly, media handling under Google security standards, and participation in small infrastructure projects.

• Experience performing component-level repair and troubleshooting on technical equipment • Experience diagnosing operating systems, server hardware, or networking protocols • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds • Availability for weekends, nights, holidays, and shift-based schedules • Data center or network operations center experience is preferred • Google IT Support Certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience is preferred
