Data Center Operations Tier 1 Technician (Night Shift)

Support LightEdge's Omaha data center and help maintain dependable infrastructure for colocation and cloud customers.

Responsibilities

• Install servers, networking equipment, racks, cages, and associated cabling.
• Troubleshoot equipment with colleagues and vendors; respond to infrastructure alarms.
• Receive shipments, maintain records, and follow change-control processes and MOPs.
• Support preventive maintenance, customer power issues, cooling, and secure building systems.
• Document procedures and share operational knowledge across teams.

Work arrangement and pay

Full-time, onsite night shift in Omaha. On-call rotation supports activity outside normal business hours. Published base pay: $20 to $21 per hour.

• Two-year technical degree or one to four years of equivalent technical or military experience.
• Ethernet, CAT6, and fiber termination experience and familiarity with data center maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electricity, cooling, airflow, and telecommunications equipment.
• Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to prioritize simultaneous tasks, diagnose problems, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
• Experience maintaining policies and technical procedures.
