Data Center Operator Technician

Support daily hardware and infrastructure operations in a Stamford data center. The technician performs rack-and-stack work, copper and fiber patching, cabling termination, IMAC activity, server and network equipment installation, hardware diagnosis, environmental monitoring, and equipment decommissioning. The role also maintains hardware inventory and rack documentation, escorts third-party installers, tests completed installations, responds to alerts and single points of failure, and works directly with clients.

• Two to five years of data center operations, technician, or hardware-support experience • At least one year of hands-on server and network equipment installation and moves • Knowledge of Category 6 and 6A copper, OM3 and OM4 fiber, and single-mode fiber • Familiarity with patching schedules, project documentation, IMAC events, and data center facilities • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and client-service skills • Ability to commute to Stamford and work the advertised day shift with overtime as needed
