Data Center Technician - 2nd Shift (Sunday - Wednesday)

Keep customer equipment and connectivity running smoothly in Cologix's Columbus colocation facility.

Responsibilities

• Complete remote hands requests, reboots, media swaps, equipment checks, and rack installations.
• Install, label, test, and troubleshoot copper, fiber, patch panels, and cross-connects.
• Monitor alarms, perform rounds, support controlled access, and escalate abnormalities.
• Maintain accurate connectivity records and orderly technical spaces.

Schedule and compensation

Onsite, Sunday through Wednesday, 2 p.m. to midnight. Additional flexible and rotating on-call coverage may be needed. Base pay: $28 to $35 hourly, with shift differential eligibility.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Experience with cabling, testing tools, ticketing, documentation, and customer support.
• Understanding of physical network topology and data center interconnections.
• Careful execution, clear communication, and availability for required shifts and on-call coverage.
• Two or more years in data centers, telecom, cabling, or IT support is preferred.
• US work authorization without visa sponsorship or transfer, including CPT/OPT.
