Data Center Technician

Support AWS cloud infrastructure as a hands-on technician employed by Amazon Data Services.

Responsibilities

• Install server racks, repair hardware, and troubleshoot network faults.
• Respond to service incidents, escalate complex issues, and participate in on-call and planned maintenance work.
• Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and contractors; improve documentation and help onboard teammates.

Locations and schedule

Onsite openings in Wink, Texas; New Carlisle, Indiana; and Hamlet, North Carolina. Work includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, and regional travel.

Compensation and benefits

Published starting pay range: $27.98 to $48.99 hourly. Day-one offerings include retirement matching, employee assistance, mental health support, and medical advice services.

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year troubleshooting computer/server hardware or in related IT work.
• Availability for flexible shifts, scheduled on-call duties, and travel.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license; regional transportation is not provided.
• Strong prioritization, communication, and independent problem-solving.
• Preferred: data center experience, ticketing systems, an IT associate degree or equivalent technical/military experience, and network protocol and layer 1/2 troubleshooting knowledge.
