Datacenter Networking Technician, AI Compute Deployment - Stargate

OpenAI is hiring a datacenter networking technician for AI compute deployment work tied to its Stargate infrastructure program.

The role focuses on physical bring-up of network infrastructure at a large partner-operated campus, including design reviews, installation planning, data center floor inspections, fiber testing, patching, equipment turn-up, as-built documentation, and deployment playbooks.

• 7+ years of large-scale datacenter network deployment, structured cabling, or physical-layer installation experience.
• Deep knowledge of fiber and copper plant design, cabling standards, and hyperscale network practices.
• Ability to work onsite in Abilene, Texas during the initial build phase and travel for future deployments.
• Preferred exposure to automation or scripting, Clos fabrics, routing and switching concepts, Linux troubleshooting, BICSI, CCNA, or CCNP.
