Data Center Operations Lead Technician
Location: Endicott, Broome County, New York
On-site (4 days on / 4 days off)

The Role
This position will lead on-site operations and maintenance within a mission-critical data centre environment, ensuring uptime, safety, and compliance. The role covers both facility and IT infrastructure, from managing mechanical and electrical systems to supporting hands-on technical work such as cabling and hardware installation.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily data centre operations – including remote hands, rack-and-stack, and cabling
• Maintain and repair critical systems such as power distribution, HVAC, and chilled water systems
• Carry out routine maintenance – replacing filters, belts, and monitoring system performance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (Lock-out/Tag-out, PPE, NFPA 70E, OSHA or equivalent)
• Manage vendor access, equipment deliveries, and building services
• Supervise and guide technicians to deliver reliable, efficient operations
Requirements
• Proven experience in data centre, building services, or critical facility operations
• Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC and power infrastructure
• Comfortable with hands-on work – cabling, racking, stacking, and equipment handling
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Flexible to work on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern (10-hour days)
