Operations Technician I

Element Critical is hiring an Operations Technician I for its Customer Operations team in Katy. This hands-on role supports critical infrastructure uptime, site security, shipping and receiving, customer requests, network installations, and 24/7 operational coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Manage visitor check-in, badges, access-control enrollment, and other site-security functions.
• Process site-access, shipping, receiving, and customer-service cases in NetSuite while maintaining package chain of custody.
• Monitor BMS and NMS alerts, acknowledge critical alarms, and create and update incident cases and customer notifications.
• Assist with service-order installations, network-circuit troubleshooting, cages, cabinets, ladder racks, and fiber trays.
• Install, test, and label copper and fiber cross-connects and provide remote-hands support for customer hardware, power, cabling, and reboots.
• Respond to escalations and emergencies and document work through tickets, shift reports, email, and facility record systems.

Qualifications and requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years of security operations, data center operations, and customer-service experience.
• Knowledge of security-system hardware and software, data center monitoring applications, help-desk tools, and critical-operations infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work throughout office, data center, and outdoor areas, perform physical tasks, and occasionally lift or move up to 65 pounds.
